HI! MY NAME IS GINA WORTEN, AND I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF. I AM A MOM, GAMMY, AND A DAUGHTER OF THE KING.

I am wildly in love with Jesus and would like to share a little of how I got there. I grew up in the church house and did everything from cleaning, teaching, singing, etc and loved every minute of it. I went many years thinking I knew Jesus and realized when I was 41 that I knew “about” Jesus but I didn’t truly “know” Jesus and have a relationship with him. You see, for a year, I battled on whether I had Jesus in my heart. I knew that there was a void there, but I remember going to an alter and asking God to save me but it was on my time not His. The Word of God says that the Holy Spirit has to draw you and it’s not on my timing but His. I remember getting up that day off my knees praying and still feeling a void I couldn’t explain. I remember my pastor at the time calling me and telling me I was saved, all was good, and from that day until I was 40, I kept being faithful in church, leading and singing, and I played the motions without even realizing I was doing it. Until one day, one of my friends requested I share my testimony on Facebook live and when I went to go do so the sweet Holy Spirit whispers “you have nothing to say”. As I sat there wanting to argue what was going on in my heart and plead my cause to an almighty God and all the works I had done, tears just started to flow. For the whole next year a war began in my heart that I can't explain.

 

The following November on a Saturday evening, I remember being so fed up that I told God I wasn’t going to church the next morning. I was a tired of the battle raging in my soul. Well guess what? Sunday morning rolled around and I got up and started getting ready as I always did yet a little different. I remember trying to put my makeup on and would cry it off as I was getting ready. I finally made it to church and put that fake smile on and taught Sunday school with the battle raging. Church started and we honored all the service men and women for Veterans Day, and I remember one of the men asked if he could testify and started talking about how good God is. Well that started something stirring, and one after another God's people started bragging on Him and suddenly my mama stood up. She started saying how good God was, and in that moment, the sweet Holy Spirit started dealing with my soul, and I realized I was lost!

 

Have you ever seen the cartoon where the guy sees the girl and his heart pounds out of his chest? Well that’s what mine felt like, and instantly, I ran to an alter and asked Jesus to save me! I can tell you right now that the woman that fell on her face was NOT the same woman that came back up! God saved me and changed my life! From that day, I have grown to love Him more and more and fall wildly in love with Him! I could tell you story after story of the goodness and faithfulness in my life when I wasn’t even God's child. He is AMAZING!

 

So here we are! I prayed God would use me and that’s when he gave me a burden to start a women’s ministry. Oh ,how we have seen God move, and we are praying so hard that God would do something within CWP that no man can take credit for! We would love to pray for you, over you, and if you don’t know Jesus we would live to introduce you to him! I guarantee you He will fill every void that you have and change your life completely!
